Friday 7th September was a very busy day for our eClub, at lunch-time some members met in Swindon Town Centre to induct and welcome into our eClub, Sue Webb

During the time together Sue and Mary discussed the coordination of the Baby Clothes project and Janice dealt with some eClub administration matters with Sinead. Tim then rushed off to work and later on in the afternoon in the company of Yvonne proudly inducted Sarah Bodell as as Rotarian in the eClub.

Dave organised one of our first vocational and interest visits to the Stroud Canal under the management of the Cotswold Canal Trust. After a superb talk from Cliff and Jill about the history of the Canal and Wool Trade in Stroud, we then had a walk along the banks to learn even more about the current restoration of this important landmark in Stroud’s history.

Everyone was so interested in this humorous but enlightening talk.

The tour begins

Sinead our Junior Vice President has the right idea, my husband needs to do some exercise, while I take a picture to remind him of this….

The evening and day concluded in a local pub with food, fellowship and a chance to get to know each other and relax.

So good to meet some of the eclub members at lunch time, congratulations to Sue and I look forward to working with you on the baby clothes project. Looking forward to seeing you again at the Fashion Show, anyone else want tickets?
